Table hockey for your team · Rīga

A small rink. Big emotions.

I bring the tables, teach everyone to play in 15 minutes and run a tournament where the whole team plays, from accounts to the board. At the end there’s a champion, a trophy and a story your office will still be retelling in March.

A game anyone can win

Most company activities split a room into the people who are good at it and the people waiting for it to end. This one doesn’t.

Everyone plays

No fitness needed, and age gives no advantage. The quietest colleague regularly knocks out the head of department in round one. That’s usually the best moment of the day.

Learned in 15 minutes

I show two ways to score. After that everyone can do both, and the real competition starts.

Nobody queues

Every table plays at once, games run to the clock, and after each round the standings go up on the screen.

How two hours run

An example for a team of about 25. Smaller teams get a shorter version, bigger ones a longer one.

  1. Tables readyYou walk in, pick up a rod and start playing. Groups are already drawn from the list you sent.
  2. The lessonTwo ways to score, taught to the whole room at once. After 15 minutes everyone can do both.
  3. Group games3-minute games, started and ended by a sound signal. Standings on the screen after every round. This is where the shouting starts.
  4. KnockoutsThe best play for the main title, everyone else in their own bracket. Nobody goes out too early.
  5. ExhibitionYour champion plays me. Then two of your people play me at the same time. Everyone films this.
  6. PrizesMedals for the top three, and the full results table emailed to everyone.

Kārlis bent over a table hockey game

Hi, I’m Kārlis

I’ve played table hockey for more than 20 years. I play for the Latvian national team, and I’m one of the best players in the world.

Before that I spent more than ten years as a location manager in film and commercials: the job of getting 40 people to the right place at the right time without anyone noticing how hard it was. It turns out that’s exactly what a good event needs.

I coach children at a Waldorf school, and I run SARAUJ, the children’s table hockey festival that has been going for almost 20 years. I’ve watched hundreds of people walk up to a table unsure and, five minutes later, not want to leave. That’s what I want to see at your event.

“If you don’t know, you’ll be afraid. If you learn, you’ll do it better and quicker, and enjoy it much more.”

My motto, at the table and away from it

All you need is a room

I bring

  • Tables, stands and spare parts
  • A laptop with the scoring system
  • Sound, microphones and game signals
  • Medals and cups
  • Setup and takedown

You provide

  • A TV or projector with HDMI
  • One power socket
  • About 4 m² per table, with space to stand around it
  • Access to the room an hour before the start

Where and when

  • Rīga and about 10 km around
  • Weekday afternoons for team days
  • Evenings from 18:00 for parties
  • Offices, canteens, warehouses and hotel halls all work

Before you book

Does anyone need to know how to play?

No. Most people have never played, and that’s exactly why it works. In 15 minutes I teach everything you need.

Which size is right for us?

Go by headcount: Warm-up up to 15 people, Tournament up to 25, Championship up to 55. If you’re in between, tell me how many are coming and how long you have, and I’ll suggest the size that keeps everyone playing and nobody waiting.

How does payment work?

You get a proper invoice, paid by bank transfer, and no VAT is added. We agree the details when you book the date.

What if we need to change the date?

Tell me as early as you can. With enough notice I move it free of charge.

What does our team need to do?

Nothing. I arrive an hour before the start, set up the tables, sound and screen, and take everything away afterwards.

How many people, when and where?

That’s all I need. I’ll reply the same day and we’ll work out the rest together. November and December fill first.

Kārlis reads every message himself and replies the same day. No newsletter, no spam.
